MAC OS X 10.9 MAVERICKS

Few days after Microsoft provided an update for there OS Windows8 to Windows 8.1 . Apple came up with another update MAC OS X Mavericks. The update is free just like Windows 8.1. Apple claims there are about 200 major changes in the OS. Most of these changes are silly and there is only about  10 or 15 Major updates. There are 2 new  major software  available IWORK and ILIFE. The IWORK Is an alternate for MS OFFICE. There are some  improvements in Safari web browser too that we will discuss in detail Below.

NEW SAFARI

The new version of safari will come in handy when you are multitasking and  the new design is fabulous .

• New memory management  with memory per browsing page architecture keeps your browser and pc responsive even when you are multitasking.
• Improved JavaScript performance.
• New Safari sidebar.

Multiple Displays

It has multiple displays just like Windows 8.1. The displays does not require any configuration all you have to do is   plug in the display and the Apple waves  wallpaper with Dock comes on your Display.

• Mission control  helps you in finding what apps are running on what displays.
• With Airplay display you can use your HDTV as second display.

Maps

It is now the most featured map app available . Apple gave some hard on this one.

• VECTOR  MAPS.
• Send to IPHONE and ICLOUD Bookmarks.
• Convert and save a map as PDF.
• Real Time Traffics.
• FlyOver gives you a 3D view of all the major cities.

Notifications

• Quick reply a message/mail from your notification centre itself.
• Mail Notifications come with an Delete/ Reply option.
• DO NOT DISTURB helps you to mute all notifications.
• FaceTime calls come as notifications
• View Notifications on Lock screen.

OTHER FEATURES

• APP Nap- saves power by reducing the power consumption of Background apps
• When your system�s memory begins to fill up, Compressed Memory automatically compresses the least recently used items in memory. When these items are needed again, they can be uncompressed in an instant.
• Dictation- Now you can speak to mac forever and it doesn't need any internet connection.
• Tags - Specify a description for your text files.
