LG GPAD 8.3

The specialty of Google Edition  Tabs that make them stand out in market is they are Running on pure Android ( Google Edition ). LG earlier launched there version of G PAD 8.3 which runs on Android 4.2.2 . The Advantages of using pure Google Edition Tab includes getting softwares updates without any delay. It also has no third party softwares like Touch wiz( user interface). This gives you a device with better performance. LG G PAD 8.3 is shipped with  Android 4.4 and you will be able to install Android 4.4.2 update. The Tablet comes in size of 8.3 inches which is perfect for people who think 7 inches is too small and 10 inches is too big.The back panel of the tablet is too smooth, some people will like it and some will prefer much rougher surface.

The display of the tab is FULL HD IPS touch screen just like Earlier version of it.
The display is very sharp and clear and the Tab is perfect for watching movies and playing Games. The drawback of Tab is that it is Dim ,How Dim ? It is not even comparable to the opponents like Galaxy TAB3 , Nexus 7 and I PAD mini.
The OS of the phone is Stock Android 4.4. You will be missing Out some features like QuickRemote (Turn your phone to a universal Remote), Knockon,Multi user etc which were available in LG EDITION of the Tab.
The Tab is powered by 1.7 GHZ snapdragon 600 processor While NEXUS 7 is powered by 1.5 GHZ Quad Core snapdragon s4 pro processor, Still the time taken by both the tabs to open apps remain almost equal time. mean while LG's Edition of G PAD 8.3 took few mare seconds to load the same apps.

NEXUS 5 REVIEW

No comments : Posted by Unknown at 21:16 Labels: Android , Google , LG , Nexus
Google announced the launch of it's new OS Android 4.4 Kitkat yesterday and  Google Nexus 5 is the first phone to run on Android 4.4. Google also introduced LTE in NEXUS 5 but it will not mean much to customers outside US and UK.The 16 GB version of affordable high END phone is  cost $349 and 32 GB version costs  $399. Nexus 5 deserves the brand name Nexus It's fast , powerful , feature rich, cheap and it shows the might of  Google.

DESIGN

although it got bigger than Nexus 4 ( 4.9 inches ) the phone became slimmer and more compact than NEXUS 4. On the left edge there is  volume rocker and 3.5 mm headphone jack and on the right side power button is placed along with a sim card slot.  The micro USB slot is at the bottom edge. like the  NEXUS  7 there is  a LOGO of NEXUS on the back of the phone. The phone weighs 4.95 ounces and is available in black , white and mattle.

DISPLAY AND CAMERA

4.95 inches FULL HD display is made up of corning gorilla glass 3. the phone has 1920 X 1080 resolution. Although the display is dim we can't take that as a negative point. It is clear that they sacrificed  display for cutting down price.
The rear camera is 8 MP with OIS (optical image stabilization ) even an shaky hand can take some neat pictures with it. The camera also  offers features like   HDR + , auto and manual focus, exposure metter, 4 scene modes, geotagging and 3.9 X digital zoom.OIS in this phone phone is good but not good as  the one in LG G2.The 1080p videos also were  satisfactory.

PERFOMANCE

Google nexus 5 sports a 2.26 GHZ SnapDragon 800 processor same as that of  HTC ONE MAX and LG G2 and  a 2 GB RAM . since the phone  is running on Android 4.4  which requires 16 % less memory than jelly bean the phone will have great performance capabilities .It will just take about 25 seconds for the phone to shut down and restart and all the basic operations like camera , returning to home screen can be done with ease. The battery of the phone is 2300 Mah same as that of  HTC ONE MAX  but the GS4 has relatively  strong 2600 Mah battery . NEXUS 5  has 17 hours talk time and 300 hours stand by battery life.

OS

The  phone runs on Android 4.4 the latest OS from Google android platform. Android 4.4 comes with a major tweak of  fixing Android fragmentation . The OS also provides features like
  • better Google Now integration.
  • MAPS ( allowing to receive messages from your car via Bluetooth ), IR blaster, support Chromecast.
  • hangouts message integeration
  • New phone dialler.
  • immersive mode.
  • Moving aroun homescreens.
The phone also hosts connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.0 , NFC and wireless charging.

VERDICT

Although the phone's Camera and 1080P  is not up to the mark it is worth it besides we can't compare it with high end phones since it is only costing $350 of your money and others are around $ 650 and above.

Here comes LG G FLEX with curved screen and curved battery

No comments : Posted by Unknown at 07:45 Labels: Android , LG
Followed by the brand new Samsung's albeit horizontally curved smartphone known as the Galaxy Round, LG announced the latest Smartphone featuring Curved display with 6-inch screen size and 3,500mAh curved battery which uses patented technology that takes advantage of its unique shape to perform more reliably.
LG introduces its first curved display and curved battery with the announcment of G Flex, a 6-inch quad-core smartphone that features an arched touch screen and rear control buttons.
As the name suggests, G Flex has the "Flexi" curved, 0.34-inch-thick construction,  partly thanks to its plastic OLED screen.

Unlike other LG high-end smartphone G Flex uses a OLED screen which is mainly used because of its bending property. The phone has a High Definition  6-inch display with 1280x720 pixel resolution. The handset also features the mentioned curved battery inside. According to LG, the 3,500mAh battery uses patented technology that takes advantage of its unique shape to perform more reliably.

The device powers up by 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, the same processor in LG G2 Flagship, and a 450MHz Adreno 330 GPU for ultra-smooth gameplay. With the best gaming hardware and variety Display, it is sure that this handset will provide you the unique gaming performance you have ever witnessed.

LG G Flex is equipped with 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It is not doubt that thee curved display will give you the best visual performance you have ever had with a handset. The phone include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and NFC.
It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is LTE enabled.

Just like LG G2, the handset has its key control buttons on its backside. They features the KnockOn functionality. This feature allows you to wake up the handset by tapping on the touch screen twice.
Additional features such as Q Theater, which allows you to view photos and videos directly from the lock screen, urgent call alert, which flashes the LED notification light when you miss several calls in a row from the same number, and swing lock screen, which changes the lock screen image depending on how you hold the phone.

More details about the device will be released by the company soon.
So many people will consider the new appearance or bend display as horrible or ridiculous while some others feels it as the best ever display. Whatever it is there is no doubt that the these new technology is going to change the direction of other mobile phone developers soon.

    NEXUS 5 EXPECTED FEATURES

No comments : Posted by Unknown at 06:15 Labels: Android , LG , Nexus
The Nexus 4 was one  heck of a phone, Google was able to give the features of  a Top end phone at an affordable price and that explains the record sales of the phone. The Launch date of  Android 4.4 and Nexus 5 is near by and there has been plenty of leaks about it's features . Most of the leaks can be fake but there are some   features that can't be avoided like Android 4.4 which is named as kitkat and Qualcomm  SnapDragon quad-core processor etc.

If Google can provide Nexus 5 at low price then it can repeat the success of Nexus 4 . Google was able to cut the the price of  Nexus 4 to half the price of it's competitors  by neglecting features like Battery , LTE , camera . From  the leaked images of Google Nexus  it is pretty sure that they are going to put up a fight . At first look it looks like LG G2 which gave all of us some excitement. The phone posses a Qualcomm  SnapDragon quadcore processor clocked at 2.3 GHZ , 2 GB of RAM , 16 GB inbuilt memory  , They compromised on the battery again the battery is just  2300 MAh which is 700 less than LG G2, The camera is 8 MP not sure if it has OIS like G2 ( 1.2 MP front camera ). Rest of them are common like LTE , Bluetooth 4.0 , NFC.
Take a look at leaked benchmark test of Nexus 5

only Iphone 5S was able to score more than Nexus 5  , but Nexus 5 will be sold at half the price of Iphone 5S.

    TOP  FEATURES

    MEMS

Nexus 5 will be the first phone to feature MEMS. MEMS is the next generation autofocus It's 7 times
    faster than current autofocus.

    NO SD SLOT

Yes, the Nexus 5 won't have any SD card slot but yu already got 16 GB internal memory.

    Android 4.4

everyone knows it the first handset on Android Kitkat.

    SnapDragon

If the above benchmark test is correct  Nexus 5 will feature a qualcomm snapdragon processor but ofcourse these benchmark can be a fake one.

    Camera

This is one is the main difference between Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 . Nexus 5 is going to have a 8 MP  camera and there will be a camera appplication UX in Android  4.4 which will be awesome. The  screen (4.95 inch) is Full HD so you can except  maximum video and image quality.

    LTE

Google turned off the LTE support in Nexus 4 but back in 2012 LTE was not so popular. but it is now so you can except a LTE support to.

The phone will be launched with  android 4.4 Kitkat so  there is a high probability that it will be launched in this or next month.

    LG OPTIMUS G2 REVIEW

No comments : Posted by Unknown at 05:16 Labels: Android , LG
Finally the successor  of LG G2 is here after months of rumors and leaks .The LG G2 5.2 inch beast  with  2.26 Ghz quad-core processor. LG has given  there best at this phone to ensure that the company stays open and they have experimented some new features like using yours 3 fingers to swipe from right to left of your screen to open saved apps instead of using the boring task manager from android. device will be available in market  in black and white with an 3000 MAh non removable battery. coming to the
OS  LG is using Android 4.2.2 jelly bean no big surprises there. The thing to be highlighted is it don't have any memory card slot but it have a huge internal storage of  32 GB . The phone doesn't have the old Lg interface it now has a  interface similar to samsung.

    Design

The phone has dimensions of  138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9 mm (5.45 x 2.79 x 0.35 in)   and weighs 143 g. As you can see the phone has a unique design the backside of the phone looks cooler with more controlers. LG has opted to place the lock button and the volume changer in the backside of the phone just below the camera to be precise.LG explains this  too they say it is the place where our hand normally rest while using the phone and lock button/ volume rocker are two basic controllers. The phone is thin just 0.1 inch thanks to dual rooting technology ( the touch censers has two connectors ).

    Display/ Camera

The  Giant screen is made up of gorilla glass 2 .The display is True-HD IPS + LCD  capacitive  screen of resolution  1080 X 1920 pixels and of course it has multitouch which is a basic thing now. The Rear camera is 13 MP with optical image stabilization . and the Front camera is 2.1 MP.
The features of rear camera are: auto focus geo tagging, HDR ,optical image stabilization , face detection and image and video capturing at same time. The performance of camera is good and it can be compared to camera of  note3 and s4.

    Performance/memory

The 2.26 Ghz quad-core processor  which is similar to that of xperia Z1 and has a RAM of 2 GB which is like the maximum you can get from a phone. The inbuilt memory is  16/32 Gb which is huge but there is no memory card slot avalible in case of an emergency.

    Verdict

well, LG gave there best at this phone. and included some new features like new multitasking . so, it is a GOOD top end phone
